Tray collection system for in-house recycling 

We are setting up returns systems for trays together with trading companies, retailers, and growers on a national and international scale. In Denmark, all the trays used by a major retailer are collected in a single location. Even the trays of Danish growers who grow their plants in Kenya are collected after their young plants have been transferred.

We are also working together in the Netherlands to collect used PS trays. Growers receive a refund for collected PS materials in line with market prices. The used trays are collected by Modiform, recycled internally, and processed into new products. This is how the material loop is closed.
